Reach Academy staff have always been guided by a culture of excellence, driven by a whole-school commitment to do “whatever it takes” for its pupils. This commitment is modelled from the top by school leadership, and is coloured by the school’s social mission: staff are aware that they are not just joining an institution, but signing up to take part in a project of social transformation. High expectations are set and maintained for all in the school. These same principles guide the activities of Reach Children’s Hub, particularly in its intensive work to support families facing complex difficulties.
The commitment to ‘Whatever it takes’ is an organisational one and intended to drive the collective culture and approach, and is carefully modulated and monitored to remain focused on staff well-being and support.
