Local Governing Body


Tom Sawbridge - Chair of the LGB                                                                                                                                       

Tom is a teacher by profession and he is currently Vice Principal at Ark Academy, Wembley. He is the Chair of the LGB and a trustee of the MAT. Tom is passionate about Reach Academy’s goal to provide all pupils with the opportunity to go to university if they wish and to live happy, healthy and productive lives. He studied History at Brasenose College, Oxford, and has Masters degrees in Comparative Politics from LSE and Educational Leadership from the Institute of Education. He lives in Harrow with his wife Mona.

Tom was appointed as Chair of the LGB in September 2018. The term of office for local governors  is 4 years. In 2019/20 Tom has attended 4 out of 4 meetings.

Emma Luxton                                                                                                                                                                              

Emma is a mother of two, the eldest in Year 7 and the youngest in Year 5. Emma works for the Serious Fraud Office and is a solicitor. 

Emma is a trustee of the MAT also sits on the LGB and is the governor for safeguarding and looked after children. In 2019/20 Emma has attended 4 out of 4 meetings. Emma's term of office has been extended to December 2021. 



Siobhan Donoghue - Staff Governor                                                                                                                                          

Siobhan was elected as a staff governor in October 2018  and sits on the RAF Local Governing Body, her term of office is 4 years until October 2022 and Siobhan has attended 4 out of 4 meetings in 2019/20. Siobhan is a Director of No Shame in Running CIC.

Katrina Baker - Parent Governor                                                                                                                                                          

Katrina has 15 years’ experience working within the charitable sector,  specialising in environmental and social regeneration, and currently works for Groundworks. She has experience in strategic management and finance, community involvement and safeguarding.

As a parent Governor Katrina hopes to champion the views of parents and support the school to maintain its high standards, so that all children fulfil their potential throughout their RAF journey and beyond. Katrina has a son at RAF, currently in phase 2.

Katrina was elected as parent governor in June 2018 and sits on the RAF Local Governing Body, her term of office is 4 years and Katrina has attended 4 out of 4 meetings in 2019/20.

Mark Nicholson                                                                                                                                                                                              

Mark is an Assistant Headteacher at Hampton School.

Mark's term as a local governor started in September 2018. The term of office for local governors is 4 years and Mark  has attended 4 out of 4 meetings in 2019/20.

Rebecca Cramer - Executive Headteacher                                                                                                                                           

Rebecca worked in three London schools prior to founding Reach Academy Feltham with Ed Vainker and Jon McGoh. She is passionate about ensuring that all children have the life opportunities they deserve and works relentlessly to achieve this goal. Rebecca has been influenced by visits to schools around the world. She studied Geography at the University of Bristol and trained to teach through the Teach First programme. In 2018 Rebecca was named a top-50 finalist in the $1million Global Teacher Prize. She currently co-chairs Heads Forward, the network of Teach First Ambassador Headteachers. Rebecca also sits on the DfE Mental Health RCTs (Education for Well-being) Advisory Group and is a Trustee of First Give, a charity inspiring young people to engage with social action. Rebecca lives in Richmond with her husband Max and two young sons, Rafe and Finn.  

Amanda Poyner                                                                                                                                                                                             


Amanda was educated in South Wales and graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Engineering Science. Following an early career in Engineering working with fibre optics and on military aircraft and a spell at home with small children, she retrained as a maths teacher in 2000.  Over the last twenty years she has taught maths to all age groups from Year 7 to Year 13. Alongside this she has been a Head of Year for a range of different age groups.  Most recently Amanda was Head of Sixth Form at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Girls before moving to Lady Eleanor Holles as a Senior Assistant Head leading on the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.  This role also included leading on our outreach and public benefit work and Amanda began to work with Reach Academy through this work. In September 2020 Amanda became Deputy Head Pastoral at LEH and took up the role of Governor at Reach Academy, and is look forward to working with staff and pupils at Reach over the coming years.


Amanda's term as a local governor started on 1st September 2020. The term of office for local governors is 4 years.

Jamie Parkhouse                                                                                                                                                                                           


Jamie is the deputy headteacher at Ark Academy Primary in Wembley, leading on teaching and learning and curriculum development. He has worked for the Ark Schools network for eight years. Jamie completed his PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Southampton in 2012 and has both teaching and leadership experience across key stage 1 and 2. He completed his NPQSL in 2019. Jamie has a love of France and has spent time living in Paris, tutoring primary aged children. Outside of education, he enjoys walking, skiing and travel. Jamie took up the role of Governor from 1st September 2020.

Jamie's term as a local governor started on 1st September 2020. The term of office for local governors is 4 years.

Dawn Kiefer  - Parent Governor                                                                                                                                                                 


Dawn was elected as parent governor on 7th September 2016. The term of office for parent governors is 4 years, however due to Covid-19 and to ensure consistency of governance Dawn's term was extended until 30th April 2021 by the Board of Trustees in December 2020.
