Tom Sawbridge - Chair of the LGB                                                                                                                                       

Tom is a teacher by profession and he is currently Vice Principal at Ark Academy, Wembley. He is the Chair of the LGB (since 16th June 2018) and a trustee of the MAT. Tom is passionate about Reach Academy’s goal to provide all pupils with the opportunity to go to university if they wish and to live happy, healthy and productive lives. He studied History at Brasenose College, Oxford, and has Masters degrees in Comparative Politics from LSE and Educational Leadership from the Institute of Education. He lives in Harrow with his wife Mona.

Tom was appointed as Chair of the LGB in September 2018. The term of office for trustees of the MAT is 4 years until October 2022 and Tom has attended all trustee meetings for the MAT board and LGB in 2018/19. In 2019/20 Tom has attended 2 out of 2 meetings.

Ed Vainker - Executive Headteacher

Ed is one of the co-founders of Reach Academy Feltham. He previously taught in Peckham and White City and for four years before the school opened in 2012 he worked for an international education charity in Washington DC.  He is heavily involved in the foundation of the Reach Children's Hub and has sat on a number of panels and groups, recently on the Teach First National Forum, the Education Commission and Royal Foundation Steering Group on Early Life. Ed studied History at Cambridge University, has a Masters in Comparative Education and lives in Hampton with his wife, son, Max and daughter, Madigan. 

Ed has attended all meetings for the LGB in 2018/19. In 2019/20 Ed attended 1 out of 2 meetings.

Acting Primary Headteacher - Matilda Browne                                                                                                                

Tilly graduated from Cambridge in 2011 with an Academic Exhibition in Politics, Psychology and Sociology. She went on to be an educational consultant in Hong Kong for a year, helping children who wanted to move into the UK education system at both school and university level. Following this, she completed the Teach First Primary Programme in Hayes, teaching in both Key Stage 1 and 2. Tilly loves being part of the motivated team at Reach. Outside of school, Tilly likes cooking, netball and exploring new places whether in London or further afield!

Tilly has been on the LGB since January 2020 and has attended 1 out of 1 meetings in 2019/20.

Beck Owen - Secondary Headteacher                                                                                                                           

Beck is the Headteacher of Reach Academy Feltham.

Beck has been on the LGB since September 2018. Beck has attended all LGB meetings in 2018-19 and 2 out of 2 meetings in 2019/20.

Emma Luxton                                                                                                                                                                              
                                                         

Emma is a mother of two, the eldest in Year 7 and the youngest in Year 5. Emma works for the Serious Fraud Office and is a solicitor. 

Emma is a trustee of the MAT also sits on the LGB and is the governor for safeguarding and looked after children. Emma has attended all LGB meetings in 2018-19 and 2 out of 2 meetings in 2019/20. Emma's term of office is for 4 years and finishes in December 2020.

 

 

Siobhan Donoghue - Staff Governor                                                                                                                                          

Siobhan was elected as a staff governor in October 2018  and sits on the RAF Local Governing Body, her term of office is 4 years until October 2022 and Siobhan has attended all LGB meetings in 2018/19 and 2 out of 2 meetings in 2019/20. Siobhan has a charity trusteeship with Postcards for Peace.

Dawn Kiefer - Parent Governor                                                                                                                                                    

Dawn has three children in the school, two in Primary and one in the frontier cohort in Secondary. 

Dawn was elected as parent governor in June 2018 and sits on the RAF Local Governing Body, her term of office is 4 years and Dawn has attended all LGB meetings in 2018/19 and 2 out of 2 meetings  in 2019/20.

Katrina Baker - Parent Governor                                                                                                                                                          

Katrina has 15 years’ experience working within the charitable sector,  specialising in environmental and social regeneration, and currently works for Groundworks. She has experience in strategic management and finance, community involvement and safeguarding.

As a parent Governor Katrina hopes to champion the views of parents and support the school to maintain its high standards, so that all children fulfil their potential throughout their RAF journey and beyond. Katrina has a son at RAF, currently in phase 2.

Katrina was elected as parent governor in June 2018 and sits on the RAF Local Governing Body, her term of office is 4 years and Katrina has attended all LGB meetings in 2018/19 and 2 out of 2 meetings in 2019/20.

Lindsey Hughes                                                                                                                                                                                           

Lindsey started her career in public relations with Virgin Megastores, but it was her work for educational charities that inspired her to become a teacher. She trained at the University of Surrey and has since held leadership positions in three independent schools. She is currently Deputy Head at Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton.  Her particular interest lies in developing high academic performance for all pupils whilst maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing, and investing in staff development.  She read History at the University of Warwick, her love for her subject having been nurtured by her inspirational A level teachers.  She lives in Hampton with her son and dog, both of whom are cuddly, intelligent and very friendly.

Mark Nicholson                                                                                                                                                                                              

Mark is an Assistant Headteacher at Hampton School.

Mark's term as a local governor started on 16th June 2018 when the MAT was formed. The term of office for local governors is 4 years and Mark  has attended all meetings in 2018/19 and 2 out of 2 meetings in 2019/20.
