Ed Vainker - Executive Headteacher
Ed is one of the co-founders of Reach Academy Feltham. He previously taught in Peckham and White City and for four years before the school opened in 2012 he worked for an international education charity in Washington DC. He is heavily involved in the foundation of the Reach Children's Hub and has sat on a number of panels and groups, recently on the Teach First National Forum, the Education Commission and Royal Foundation Steering Group on Early Life. Ed studied History at Cambridge University, has a Masters in Comparative Education and lives in Hampton with his wife, son, Max and daughter, Madigan.
Rebecca Cramer - Director of Education
Rebecca worked in three London schools prior to founding Reach Academy Feltham with Ed Vainker and Jon McGoh. She is passionate about ensuring that all children have the life opportunities they deserve and works relentlessly to achieve this goal. Rebecca has been influenced by visits to schools around the world. She studied Geography at the University of Bristol and trained to teach through the Teach First programme. In 2018 Rebecca was named a top-50 finalist in the $1million Global Teacher Prize. She currently co-chairs Heads Forward, the network of Teach First Ambassador Headteachers. Rebecca also sits on the DfE Mental Health RCTs (Education for Well-being) Advisory Group and is a Trustee of First Give, a charity inspiring young people to engage with social action. Rebecca lives in Richmond with her husband Max and two young sons, Rafe and Finn.
Beck Owen - Secondary Headteacher
Beck graduated from Cardiff University with First Class Honours in English. Shortly after graduating, she joined a challenging urban school in Birmingham teaching English. Beck moved to London in 2012 to join the founding team at Reach Academy, and completed a Masters in Educational Leadership alongside her teaching commitments. She is proud to have been part of the journey so far, and loves working with such a dedicated team, supporting the families and pupils the school serves. Beck was Assistant Headteacher at Reach responsible for Teaching & Learning, moving onto become Deputy and then Associate Headteacher.
Tilly Browne - Acting Primary Headteacher
Tilly graduated from Cambridge in 2011 with an Academic Exhibition in Politics, Psychology and Sociology. She went on to be an educational consultant in Hong Kong for a year, helping children who wanted to move into the UK education system at both school and university level. Following this, she completed the Teach First Primary Programme in Hayes, teaching in both Key Stage 1 and 2. Tilly loves being part of the motivated team at Reach. Outside of school, Tilly likes cooking, netball and exploring new places whether in London or further afield!
Hannah Pope - Director of Operations
Hannah graduated from the University of Warwick in 2011. She completed a Masters in Educational Leadership (evaluating the effectiveness and impact of Pupil Premium funding expenditure) during her first year of teaching at Reach Academy. Hannah was part of the West Midlands Teach First 2011 cohort and taught maths. She was Head of maths and Assistant Headteacher responsible for Phase 3 at Reach until summer 2017 when she made the shift to leading on the non-teaching functions of the school.
